The Resilience Lab

A return to your true nature

This experiential Lab isn’t a workshop in the usual sense—it’s a living field of exploration where we discover, through experience, what it means to return to our true nature. Through practices that awaken body awareness and inner listening, somatic inquiry, and heart-centered conversation, you’re invited to reconnect with your body’s wisdom and the resilience that lives within.

What’s a

Resilience

Lab?

A space to slow down, reconnect, and explore the many dimensions of resilience: Mental, Emotional, Relational, Physical, and Spiritual.

Each Lab is a living exploration — a chance to come home to yourself, to re-discover the basics of embodied resilience, and to explore how resilience shows up in the layered, changing landscape of your life. Offered every few months, each gathering focuses on a different theme or dimension.

Next Lab: January 17 – Relational Resilience
One of my favorites. How we relate and engage with others is at the very heart of resilience. In this Lab, we’ll explore what it means to stay anchored in ourselves while remaining open, compassionate, and connected — especially when life brings tension, emotion, or complexity into our relationships.

How do we listen deeply when emotions run high — ours or someone else’s?
How do we stay true to our center while saying yes or no, giving and receiving, pushing and yielding?

These are the living questions we’ll explore together in community.

I’d love for you to join us for the next Resilience Lab on January 17 — a space for reflection, practice, and wholehearted connection.
Reach out anytime with questions or to reserve your spot.

Why Embodied Resilience Matters

In times of change and unpredictability, resilience isn’t about pushing through—it’s about recovering steadiness within.

Resilience Already Lives Within You

Resilience is not something we have to strive for or build from scratch.
It’s not a muscle to be trained, but a quality that already lives within us.

When the body is centered and grounded, it holds an innate intelligence—a natural capacity to adapt, restore, and regulate. Even in the face of challenge, the body continuously orients toward balance, wholeness, and connection.

The Power of Presence

When we drop into that centered, grounded place beneath the swirl of thoughts, reactivity, or external pressure, we access a deeper well of resilience—one that is:

  • Responsive rather than reactive

  • Creative rather than rigid

  • Flexible, present, and resourced

This kind of resilience isn’t about gritting our teeth or toughing it out.
It’s about listening inward and allowing:

“I’m here. I can feel this. I can move with this.”

What to Expect from the Workshop

This experiential workshop offers an introduction to embodied practices that help you stay:

  • Grounded

  • Present

  • Adaptable

Through guided movement, embodied awareness, and interactive exercises, you’ll learn to:

  • Regulate your nervous system

  • Feel more grounded, present, and clear

  • Cultivate a felt sense of resilience that goes beyond mindset alone

  • Explore your conditioned patterns of stress—not through story or analysis, but through direct experience—so you can meet those parts of yourself with greater familiarity, compassion, and choiceWhy It Matters

This is an opportunity to return to the body’s innate wisdom—
to strengthen your ability to navigate uncertainty and cultivate more:

  • Ease

  • Confidence

  • Self-trust

The more we come home to the body, the more we remember:
Resilience isn’t scarce. It’s abundant, alive, and available in every moment.
It’s not something we perform—it’s something we embody.

  • "When I walked into Julie's Resiliency workshop I had no idea how much tension I held in my body. With just a few very simple exercises that tension vanished. What is even better is this - I now find myself able to off load that tension, that shielding in a few seconds on my own. If you get a chance to join one of Julie's classes... jump in with both feet!"

  • “Julie’s welcoming presences greeted me and put me at ease the moment I entered the room for her Resiliency Workshop.  I was surprised how easily my body responded to her skillfully guided exercises and the expansion I felt within as tension melted away.  After her workshop I noticed I am more aware of my body's wisdom and that something as simple as taking a deep breath and opening my hands can bring me back to center when I’m experiencing stress.  If you get a chance, I highly recommend participating in her workshop.”
